I have been an active participant in Model United Nations (MUN) since Grade 6, attending every conference hosted by my school as well as those organized externally. During middle school, I had the opportunity to attend conferences at Overseas Family School (OFS) and Tanglin Trust School, further broadening my exposure to international diplomacy and diverse debating styles. MUN has been an incredible platform for me to develop critical thinking, diplomacy, and public speaking skills while engaging in meaningful discussions on global issues.
Through the years, I have taken on various roles, from delegate to committee chair, learning to research, debate, and negotiate effectively. My experiences in MUN have strengthened my ability to think on my feet, craft persuasive arguments, and collaborate with diverse perspectives.
At the end of Grade 8, I was honored to be invited as a trainer for MUN in high school, mentoring younger students and guiding them through the intricacies of debate, resolution writing, and formal diplomacy. This opportunity has allowed me to refine my leadership skills while fostering a passion for global affairs among aspiring MUN participants.
